How to do e-filing?

What is e-filing? It is actually a system to submit our  "borang nyata cukai pendapatan" via online. E-filing is fast and easy for everyone in Malaysia to submit their annual income tax form. So how to do e-filling?

1. For the very first time, we have to get our own pin number to sign up for sijil digital through online. It is a very crucial part in doing the e-filing. There are a few ways to obtain the pin number
  • Visit the nearest Lembaga Hasil Dalam Begeri (LHDN) 
  • Call 1-300-88-3010 or 603-4289-3500 (overseas)
  • Email pin@hasil.gov.my your name, address, telephone number, income tax number and also attach a copy of your IC or passport 

2. After that, visit https://e.hasil.gov.my and click login kali pertama or https://spsd.hasil.gov.my/PKI/ehasil0.html (direct link) to sign up for sijil digital. Enter your pin number, IC and follow the steps to complete the registration.

3. Then, click into login e-borang and choose one of the options available. Follow the steps to complete the e-filing.

4. After completing the form, save and print out a copy of e-borang and pengesahan penerimaan borang.

In short, there are a few things you MUST have before you can do e-filing.
  • Pin number to register for sijil digital
  • Annual pay slip which stated your income tax number and your annual income
 So, why waste your time to wait for the long queue at LHDN since you can do everything online?
